Carly R. Jacques, MSW, LCSW, EMDRIA Certified Therapistâ„¢
Hi, I’m Carly. It’s nice to meet you. I understand that things may be tough, and I’m here to help.
As a licensed clinical social worker with over a decade of experience, I believe people are capable of more than managing — but getting there requires more than insight. It requires the right approach, applied with intention.
I specialize in EMDR therapy, an evidence-based treatment with decades of research behind it, shown to be particularly effective for trauma, anxiety, hyperarousal, and panic — even when years of effort haven't moved the needle.
My clients tend to be intelligent, motivated adults between their mid-twenties to mid-fifties. They're successful in ways people can see, and quietly struggling in ways people can't. They've reached a point where they know something has to shift — and they're willing to do what it takes to get there. They may be carrying anxiety that won't quiet down, a body that stays on high alert, or memories that surface at the worst times. Many have tried to think their way through it. They're ready for something that goes deeper.
I work in a style that is direct, thorough, and warm. I take the work seriously and I bring my full attention to every session. I don't shy away from hard conversations, and I hold clear limits in my practice — something I find my clients often appreciate, and sometimes find themselves wanting to cultivate in their own lives too.
My areas of specialty include anxiety, panic disorder, hyperarousal, single-incident and complex trauma, depression, OCD tendencies, and disordered eating. I use ICBT for OCD and integrate EMDR into disordered eating treatment in ways that address what often gets missed elsewhere.
Empowering your wellness isn't just a tagline. It's the standard I hold every session to.
